As you walk the footpath from Summerfield Farm towards Upper Rowling, the land drops before reaching the old green lane. Sometime in the past, chalk or maybe clay was dug from here, resulting in a short steep bank.

There has been badger activity here for years but recently the sett has expanded with extensive diggings, even into the field. The amount of soil and chalk lumps is testimony to a badgers' strength and determination.
