For a donation of £5.00 to a charity that support people who are on the brink of homelessness and needing legal advice, Tom of Simply Trees is offering a Christmas tree re-cycling service at the front of St Peter's Church, Aylesham on Saturday, 10 th January. Please drop off your Christmas tree with your donation . Collection is also available at a minimum cost of £7.00. The trees will be chipped up and recycled into compost. Friday December 5th: A good morning planting hedgerow trees at Staple recreation ground and the Oast in Durlock Road. Trees, canes, rabbit guards and expertise all kindly supplied by Nicky (2nd in from right), the Sandwich Voluntary Tree Warden and Sandwich Community Tree Nursery.

A Year in the Churchyard 2025 After the planned felling of three trees at the east end of the church in October, three members of SWFV purchased and planted replacements. Four trees, a Hawthorn, a Crab Apple, a Hornbeam and a Mulberry were planted in the front of the church adjacent to the road.
