This plant is just coming into flower around Staple. This example was growing out of the church wall. It's called Greater Celandine (Chelidonium majus) but is neither a celandine or a buttercup. It belongs to the poppy family. It's rather common and when a stem is broken, it has distinctive orange sap, which was once used as a treatment for warts.
