Asian Hornet at lure in Staple

Someone locally reported a sighting of an Asian Hornet. These are, of course, invasive and cause immense harm to native invertebrate species as well as honey bee hives. The National Bee Unit responded and set up some lures around the village. Asian Hornets were observed at one of the lures and their movements tracked. This resulted in the discovery of a nest in the garden of a house on the Street. The nest, I believe, has now been destroyed.
