On 10th July last year, I witnessed a bee swarm over the churchyard, and they quickly settled into this woodpecker hole in one of the Japanese Cedars. These were honey-bees possibly from an over-crowded hive. This colony is now feral. On recent warm days, there has been some activity, with workers coming and going.
